Terms and Conditions
Please read carefully before completing your enrolment and payment. ‘Class’ in the Conditions of Enrolment outlined here refers to any term art course, weekend class, private lesson, workshop or school holiday program.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
Art Lab School reserves the right to amend any class, tutor or schedule if a workshop has insufficient numbers enrolled. If a class is cancelled due to insufficient enrolments, any student enrolled in that class will be offered an alternative class, credit or refund.
Refund, cancellation and transfer policy
The following policy relates to term art course, weekend classes, private lesson, workshop or school holiday program.
No Refunds
All fees are non-refundable, unless negotiated for an extended illness.
Missed classes
There are no transfers, credit, refunds or make up sessions if you miss a class or if your personal circumstances change.
Cancellation of enrolment
If you choose to withdraw from a term course or term class before its commencement, you may transfer to another course or class (subject to availability) to be used within 6 months of the date payment was received. You will not receive a refund for the course or class fee paid. There are no transfers or credits if you withdraw or cancel on the day of the course or class or once the course or class has commenced. ALS reserves the right to cancel a student’s enrolment or attendance without notice if their behaviour is too disruptive to ensure the safety and enjoyment of other students. If cancellation of any Workshop/Class is due to COVID-19 Government advised shut down, or the enrolled client has contracted or is awaiting the result of a current test and is in isolation, a credit will be issued on receiving written confirmation from a GP or health provider. The COVID-19 test result must be dated. Credits may be used towards same programs within 3 years of issue (subject to availability). This is in line with the Department of Fair Trading's recommendations under Australian Consumer Law.
School Holiday Camp Days
Refunds or credit notes for School Holiday Camp days are not offered if cancelling because you change your mind, or your child is ill. It is however transferable to a friend by your arrangement, and we are advised of the change of arrangements prior to the start of the session. Fees are listed with the course details on our website. All fees include GST. Payment of all fees via online credit card payment is required prior to the start of term.
Punctuality
Students are requested to be punctual for class. Children should be escorted to and from the art school by a parent or guardian, signed in on arrival and collected promptly at the end of class. Late pickups are not accepted and if it happens more than once the child will lose their spot.
Pick up from WPS
Pick up from WPS is by arrangement with each individual parent. Spaces are limited. Please note pick up only starts from year 1. We do not collect kindergarten students. Exceptions are made on an individual basis if the kindergarten student has a sibling enrolled in the school. All newly enrolled students are required to be dropped at the school for their first 3 lessons before regular pick will begin. ALS reserves the right to cancel a student’s ongoing pick up from WPS without notice if their behaviour is too disruptive to ensure the safety of the walk.
It is a requirement that ALS staff are notified by phone and email if a student is going to be absent from the pickup.
ALS reserves the right to cancel the ongoing arrangement if staff are not notified at least an hour before pickup time on the day.
Occupational Health & Safety
f you have an existing medical condition, allergy or disability that may affect your participation in a class, you should notify us at the time of enrolment.
Privacy Contact information you supply to Art Lab School will not be disclosed outside the studio without your express consent, except where required by law. We do not retain any credit card information. Art Lab School will from time-to-time send mail and emails to students and past students for the purposes of marketing. Should you not wish to receive mailings from Art Lab School please notify us that you wish to unsubscribe and you will be removed from our mailing list.
Update on Art Lab Covid Policy: Like always we have strict Covid measures in place. All staff are triple vaccinated and are doing antigen tests twice weekly. Mandatory mask wearing is in place for all adults. Students who show any symptoms will not be permitted inside the Art School. We have an industrial grade air purifier running during and after all classes along with ventilation and air conditioning. We implement social distancing as much as possible. Surfaces are wiped down thoroughly between lessons. A make up lesson will be offered to students who miss a class due to isolating, subject to availability.
FOOD ON PREMISES POLICY
We are a no nuts premises (this includes Nutella please) and encourage healthy snacks and lunches are packed.
